Paris Versailles Is The Ideal Day Trip Away From The Centre

The country of France has so much history and culture and has to be unearthed and explored as it would be a shame to spend all of your trip in one city or town. The impressive palace holds over 700 rooms, including the Hall of Mirrors which showcases 17 huge mirrors which overlook 17 windows into the extravagant gardens beneath. This is perhaps the most impressive room of the palace, in which King Louis XIV used to show off to guests.

The peaceful gardens should be explored at your leisure also. Marvel at the marble and bronze statues, fountains and geometrically aligned terraces.
